Caravan Trades & Industries Association Victoria (T/A Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV)) has been the voice of Victoria’s caravan and camping industry since 1952 and we advocate for, represent, and support our members to enhance performance and promote the industry.
Originally formed by a group of caravan manufacturers, hirers, and private individuals drawn to the “family lifestyle” caravanning offers, with over 250 members made-up of manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, and service providers, including caravans, motor homes, 5th wheelers, tent trailers, tents, accessories, relocatable homes, hire facilities, sales, and repair services in Victoria.
We represent the needs of our members to industry and government as well as assist with the promotion of their businesses and the industry. We are committed to serving our members and ensuring that businesses get access to quality research, business support, marketing opportunities and the best advice within the sector. Ninety-three per cent (93%) of the over 31,000 caravan and recreational vehicles manufactured in Australia are produced in Victoria, the industry’s heart lies in our state.
We lead a $3.5 billion industry in Victoria, employing over 12,500 professionals, setting industry standards, and conducting development activities such as accreditation programs, testing and certification, consumer and industry education, technical and regulatory guidance, legal advice, and business development.

CIV is committed to the growth and promotion of our industry, starting with the RV Master Program. We have made significant advances in our accreditation programs and industry development initiatives. These efforts are aimed at maintaining high standards within the industry and supporting our members in achieving these standards.
This program will set a standard for the RV Manufacturing sector for the first time and lift the level of business in the sector. We have identified our independent auditors, rebranded the program whilst expanded it into other sectors, giving it a huge growth platform. We invested into the website for RV Master too which is to launch in 2024.

Caravan Trades & Industries Association of Victoria (CIV) does not make any warranties or representations to any person in relation to the Services (including the customer); and CIV has no liability to the customer or any other person for any losses, damages, expenses, costs or liabilities of any kind caused by or in connection with the Services or any other acts or omissions of the Accredited Provider. All RV Master participants are contractually bound to meet the standards of the program which is audited on an annual basis to ensure compliance standards are met.
By participating in the Program, members agree to abide by the following terms and conditions as detailed in the RV Master Agreement: No Guarantee of Outcomes, Limitation of Liability, Information Accuracy and Indemnification. CIV shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in any way related to the RV Master Program.
The RV Master Manufacturers accreditation program will commence on 1 July 2025. Until this date, our participating businesses will be gaining accreditation by demonstrating an ability to meet a high level of standards with the program. A “RV Master Manufacturer Participant” is a manufacturer that has commenced the process of gaining accreditation under the RV Master Manufacturers accreditation program.
